Our entire life feels the impact when we’re struggling in relationships or with our own inner challenges.

Why Therapy is Worth It

When you're overwhelmed by anxiety, stuck in old patterns, or carrying the invisible weight of past trauma, it can feel like life is just about surviving. Therapy is your space to pause, breathe, and begin again with support.

This is more than just a financial investment, it's a commitment to your peace, your clarity, and the version of yourself that’s been longing to feel more connected, grounded, and free.

Through our work together, you can expect a personalized and deeply thoughtful approach. I keep a small caseload so I can give you my full attention, not only during our sessions, but also in the care I take outside of session to understand your story and guide your healing with intention.

I draw from years of experience and advanced specialized training in trauma, anxiety, and culturally sensitive care. Whether you're here for therapy or an immigration evaluation, my goal is to make sure you feel seen, supported, and safe.

Why I Don’t Take Insurance

Therapy is one of the most personal experiences you can have. Yet when insurance companies are involved, your healing journey often gets filtered through red tape. They may require a mental health diagnosis to justify your care, limit the number of sessions you’re allowed, or scrutinize your progress based on a checklist that may not reflect your lived experience.

Worse still, your private information such as session notes, diagnoses, and treatment plans—can be accessed by the insurance company, stored in their systems, and potentially used to determine future coverage.

I choose not to contract with insurance so I can protect your privacy, your story, and your autonomy. Our work together is guided by your needs, not an algorithm, a diagnosis code, or a time limit. This gives us the space to slow down, go deeper, and create real, lasting chang on your terms.

If you have out-of-network benefits, I’m happy to provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Keep in mind, most insurances will require a diagnosis on the superbill.

If you're unsure about filing your insurance reimbursement, Reimbursify is here to help—they’ll take care of the claim filing for you.

Therapy is a Partnership

For therapy to create real, lasting change, it requires both of us to be fully invested. I bring my complete focus, experience, and dedication to every session, and I ask you to commit to the process with the same intention. When we’re both fully engaged, the growth and transformation you’re seeking becomes possible. This is your opportunity to invest in yourself—your healing, your well-being, and your future.

  • I am licensed to provide online therapy services anywhere across California (LMFT90745). At this time, I only offer online therapy.

I do not offer marital or couples therapy.  I only provide individual therapy to adults.

  • Telehealth, or online therapy, is ideal for those looking for the convenience of accessing therapy from home. We use a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform for every session, ensuring your privacy and making each meeting as confidential as an in-person visit.

  • Yes, I am bilingual in English and Spanish.

  • Therapy Fees:

  • I am an out-of-network provider, which means you’ll pay the full session fee at the time of your appointment. If requested, I can provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. However, keep in mind that insurance companies often require a diagnosis, dictate treatment goals, and may limit the number of sessions, focusing less on providing high-quality, personalized care. The superbill will include your diagnosis and protected health information (PHI) for reimbursement purposes. If you prefer to keep your diagnosis and PHI private, you can choose to be a self-pay client.

To find out if you have out-of-network benefits, call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask about your OON benefits. Some helpful questions to ask:

    • Do I have out-of-network benefits for psychotherapy?

    • Do I need to meet an out-of-network deductible?

    • What is my deductible, and how much has been met?

    • Once the deductible is met, how much of the session fee will I be reimbursed for? (For example, if your session fee is $185 and your insurance reimburses 80%, you would receive $148 back, meaning your out-of-pocket cost would be $37.)

    • How do I submit a superbill for reimbursement?

    • How long do I have to submit my superbill?

If you're unsure about filing your insurance reimbursement, Reimbursify is here to help—they’ll take care of the claim filing for you.

  • I require a credit or debit card to be kept on file. Payments are made automatically at the beginning of each session using a secure online payment system. I accept all major credit cards, debit cards, and Health Savings Accounts (HSA).

  • Our first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and see if we’re a good fit. You’ll have space to share what’s bringing you in, and I’ll ask thoughtful questions to better understand your experiences, current challenges, and what you’re hoping for in therapy.

I take a collaborative and insight-oriented approach—so while I’ll offer structure, we’ll also follow what feels most important to you to share. We’ll start exploring the patterns in your life, where they come from, and whether they’re helping or holding you back.

To create meaningful change, therapy works best when we meet regularly—typically weekly—at the beginning of our work. As you begin to feel more grounded and confident, we can move to biweekly sessions.

If at the end of the session, we determine that your needs may be better served by another therapist or I am not the best fit, I will help you find another therapist who is.

  • From my experience, clients get the most out of therapy when they commit to weekly sessions, especially at the beginning. This helps me understand your unique challenges and provide the right tools to support you. Meeting less frequently, like every other week or once a month, can make it harder to build momentum.

Many clients notice significant progress within 8-12 weeks, but the length of therapy depends on your goals and the complexity of the issues you're facing. As you start to feel better, you may choose to reduce the frequency of your sessions.

  • You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

While it is not possible for me to know, in advance, how many sessions may be appropriate for your care, the notice will provide an estimate of the cost of services provided. Your total cost of services will depend upon the number of sessions you attend and the type of services provided.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. You can ask your health care provider for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.  Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

What is a Good Faith Estimate? A Good Faith Estimate is a document you can request that shows how much your therapy might cost before you start. It's especially useful if you don't have insurance or aren't using insurance. This estimate helps you understand potential costs for sessions and any related services. If your actual bill is $400 more than the estimated cost, you have the right to challenge it. Always keep a copy of your estimate for reference. For further questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises.

  • To reserve your initial intake session, a full-fee, non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. This applies to all new clients beginning weekly or biweekly therapy.

When you schedule a session, that time is held just for you. I do not double-book or over-schedule, which means I turn away others to honor our work together. This policy is designed to protect the time and energy we’re both investing in your care.

For ongoing therapy, I require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a session. Understandably, things come up! If you must cancel or reschedule, just let me know at least 48 hours in advance. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before your appointment or not showing up will incur the full session fee, as I reserve this time exclusively for you.
